Crowds of people.

How will overpopulation affect our ability to feed the world in developing countries? What areas of improvement have to be focused on to sustain them?

A Science of Life project by Cherie, Lavinia, and Josh.

Farming and agriculture currently holds roughly sixty percent of sub-Saharan Africa’s total employment, while one in four sub-Saharan Africans are chronically undernourished. As a result of the rapidly growing population and rising inequality, many developing countries struggle to cope with poverty and food insecurity, further resulting in malnutrition for countless across the globe. Our project focuses on the agricultural and nutritional problems the developing world will encounter from overpopulation, and possible solutions that could be implemented to reduce the world’s malnutrition crisis.
